A beautiful new home was just finished in Towne Lake. Sure, that happens all the time, but this one is different: people are paying to get a look at it. This new custom home, built by Morning Star Builders, is a Southern Living Showcase Home. This amazing new house in Towne Lake is the only Southern Living home in Texas and one of only three nation-wide.
Because of the high prestige that comes with being a Southern Living home, tours are being offered to those wanting an up-close and personal look of the beautiful home. The tours are available between 11am and 6pm every Thursday-Sunday until June 15th.
The 5,300 square foot home sits on the largest lake lot in Towne Lake and is filled with cutting edge technology, new design trends, and innovative light finishes. Ted Cummins, chief creative officer for Morning Star, said 700 people visited the home during the first weekend of tours.
“One guest flew in from Canada,” Cummins said. This Southern Living home has literally become an international sensation.
It’s one thing to see these awesome houses on television shows, but it’s another thing entirely to get to tour them in-person. The show-stopping amenities like a gameroom with blackout shades and a drop down projection screen are definitely impressive, but it’s the many small things and incredible attention to detail that makes this house a true masterpiece. From the outdoor fire pit’s gorgeous lake view to the fiber-optic lighting in the entryway, this house pulls out all the stops.
