The Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce announced the theme of “The Grand Plan” for the 2013 Mobility Forum, continuing its focus on regional mobility solutions.
Experts will gather at the Berry Center to look at the potential growth and the impact of the opening of the Cy-Fair segment of U.S. 99, “The Grand Parkway.” The three-hour Mobility Forum and luncheon will bring together high-level transportation executives for a speakers’ panel at 10:30 a.m. This year’s keynote speaker Jeff Moseley, commissioner of the Texas Transportation Commission, oversees statewide activities of the Texas Department of Transportation.
“Mobility is vital to any community,” said Leslie Martone, president of the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce. “With all of the growth in the Cy-Fair community, infrastructure – especially mobility/transportation, is important. We need to keep up with our growth and rely heavily on our Texas legislature to fund those infrastructure projects. That’s why it is so vital to keep in touch with our local legislators about the need and our issues.”
Due to the success of last year’s morning CEO Roundtable, the by-invitation-only discussion panel will be held that morning at 8 a.m. Legislators, transportation experts and the chamber board will meet one-on-one with local CEOs to discuss the specific mobility issues they are facing. The CEO Roundtable is sponsored by Dannenbaum Engineering. Business leaders interested in attending should contact Casey Cargle at the chamber office, (281) 373-1390.
