Olympic swimmer Camille Adams claimed her third consecutive U.S. national championship in the 200 meter butterfly this Wednesday.
Adams was a standout at Cy-Woods High School before taking her talents to College Station to swim for Texas A&M.
The Cypress, Texas native recorded a time of 2:07.12 in the 200 meter butterfly and won the race by almost two full seconds.
Adams’ victory on Wednesday gave her three consecutive U.S. titles to add to her back-to-back NCAA championships in 2013 and 2014. This latest victory punched her ticket to Australia as a member of Team USA for the Pan-Pacific Championships at the end of August.
Adams is no stranger to Team USA. She competed in the same event in the 2012 Olympic Games. Adams finished 5th in her swim in London.
