As gardens bloom and allergies flare, we are immediately reminded of two things: it’s spring and it’s time to clean our homes.
Spring does have its benefits though. The weather warms, the world turns green and second semesters come to a close. And while it seems ordinary to many of us, the new life spring so passionately ushers in is quite miraculous.
The Cypress Philharmonic, one of the fastest-growing symphony orchestras in America, is giving a spring concert (affectionately named Spring Fever) on Sunday, March 23rd at 3:00 PM. The program features Rimsky-Korsakov’s Russian Easter Overture, Bizet’s Carmen Suites and Copland’s Appalachian Spring and portrays themes of passion and renewal through the majesty of music.
CyPhil’s first concert was held in February of last year with close to forty players. They grew by fifty percent in six short months and continue to wow Cypress-area residents with rich sound and daring programming.
Tickets to Spring Fever run $25 for general admissions and $20 for students, seniors and military. For more information, check out CyPhil’s website and be sure to contribute to your local symphony.
