Just over three months ago, owner Amy Vasquez opened the doors to her new restaurant, Hanan’s Cafe. Since then, the cafe has taken Cypress by storm, quickly becoming one of the area’s favorite breakfast, lunch and, of course, brunch spots.
Vasquez decided to open a restaurant last year after her mother passed away. She and her daughter, the restaurant’s namesake, got busy planning Hanan’s Cafe. “My mom had always dreamed of owning a tea room, and my daughter loves to bake and wants to be a chef one day,” Vasquez said. “Hanan’s Cafe is partly a tribute to my mother and [partly] a project my daughter and I had dreamed of. It’s a celebration of life through amazing food.”
Hanan’s is located at 25282 Northwest Freeway and is open Monday-Friday from 7:00am-4:00pm and Weekends from 8:00am-4:00pm.
Hanan’s offers fresh-baked pastries, freshly squeezed juices and homemade mimosas as well as a wide variety of wonderful breakfast and lunch menu options. Hanan’s only uses fresh ingredients from local sources. “What I’ve found is that the locally produced stuff is also better quality,” Vasquez said. “That’s what we want our customers to expect from us.”
If you haven’t been yet, Hanan’s Cafe needs to be on the top of your list of local restaurants to visit. For those of you who have eaten at Hanan’s, what do you think? What’s your favorite menu item?
