The Methodist Healthcare System is named as one of Houston’s “Best Places to Work” for 2013 by the Houston Business Journal, making the list for the ninth time.
Methodist is ranked third on the list of companies with over 500 employees, making it the highest ranked health care organization on the list. With more than 15,000 employees, Houston Methodist is one of the region’s largest employers. Employees were asked to respond to questions regarding work environment, benefits, personal growth and development, work practices and other related areas. At least 5 percent of a company’s employees had to participate in the survey to be considered for the list.
Methodist has also been ranked by FORTUNE magazine as one of the “100 Best Companies to Work For” in America eight years in a row. Houston Methodist Hospital also is consistently ranked as one of America’s “Best Hospitals” and the number one hospital in Texas in 2013 byU.S. News & World Report.
