Towne Lake has just unveiled an amenity unlike anything residents have ever seen – unless of course they have visited some of the nation’s most popular resorts.
Caldwell Companies, the developer of Towne Lake, just opened its huge new waterpark overlooking Houston’s largest private lake and across from the Boardwalk at Towne Lake, a mixed-used development scheduled to open this summer.
A lazy river which offers residents a ten-minute ride through waterfalls and tunnel connections to other pools is just one of the many highlights of the new water park. A total of four pools are associated with the lazy river including one with a zero entry, a diving pool with a ¾-meter diving board and a landing pool for the spiraling water slide.
Other features in the park include an acre of sunning decks and walking areas, a junior Olympic pool, a splash pad and pool, a wading pool with aquatic play structures that include stairs, platform slides, spouting and water spray features, a splash deck with more than 20 interactive water features, two picnic pavilion/shade structures, play structures for children as young as a year old, a beach with lake access and the Frontier pool house that is complete with soaring beamed ceilings, an expansive covered seating area overlooking the lake, and a concession area that will offer a variety of restaurant quality menu items throughout the day.
Residents who have been anxiously awaiting the opening of the water park were very impressed when they got their first look over the weekend. “It’s a great entertaining area for everyone, especially for kids who have a variety of different things to do,” said Towne Lake resident Marlayne Crossen.
Other residents described it as “amazing” and “a resort in their back yard.” The amenity is the first of its kind for a community in Houston and is a part of an extensive amenities plan that is offered to residents in Towne Lake who can access the new gated amenity through a key card system.
The water park is the newest in a long list of amenities within Towne Lake that include parks and playgrounds, fitness centers, hike and bike trails, boat docks and ramps, community clubhouses and additional pools and splash parks. This summer, the Boardwalk at Towne Lake will open featuring a variety of retail, restaurants and offices overlooking the lake and the Towne Lake community. Residents of Towne Lake will be able to access the new destination via boat and the new marina.
