My childhood seemed like one long, strung-out Disney movie. As soon as the school bus doors flung open and the humid afternoon air hit my face I was bounding down the street, through my front door and onto my couch to watch Beauty and the Beast for the hundredth time. Tomorrow would be Lion King, the next day Aladdin. But when my imagination was running wild, it was Peter Pan that spinned in my VCR.
Generations have embraced J. M. Barrie’s masterful story. Peter Pan’s fantastic adventures awaken the child inside us all, daring us to be bold. Starting tonight, Houston Family Arts Center is bringing Peter Pan to life at the Berry Center. Tickets start at $15 and the show runs through March 16th. Talented local actors and actresses will take flight on stage in what’s sure to be an event the whole family will enjoy.
In fact, that’s HFAC’s mission -- to enrich and entertain audiences through family-friendly theatre that inspires, challenges and educates. They have been a bright spot in our community since 2005, and tonight’s performance reflects their passion for the local arts.
Whether you are eight or eighty-eight, Peter Pan is an experience worth reliving with the ones you love. Grab your tickets here and join us for opening night!
