The Shack Burger Resort on Cypress Rosehill Road near Huffmeister is a party for your tastebuds, offering flavorsome burger combinations for connoisseurs young and old.
Owner Joe Duong cooks up some of the wackiest and most incredible burgers in town. He’s not afraid of stacking crispy onion strings and slices of juicy brisket on his burgers. He’ll even stuff an entire grilled cheese sandwich in there. Just don’t expect heat lamps or microwaves here. Everything is always fresh and handmade to order.
Duong’s burgers aren’t the only thing customers look forward to. Tom the Cat is The Shack’s most popular regular and a restaurant staple ever since he greeted Duong on the property three years ago.
“Customers come in looking for him. He’s Tom. Tom is probably the true owner,” says Duong.
Other great attractions include a beer garden with a canopy Duong made from tree branches, homemade bottle cap benches, a sand lot playground, artwork and tire swings. Parents love bringing their kids to the family-friendly atmosphere as well.
With so many items to try on the menu (like The Pizza Burger featuring two personal size pepperoni pizzas as the buns), it’s no wonder The Shack Burger Resort is gaining so much attention.
