Senate Bill 485 sets Aug. 9-11 as the dates of this year’s annual Sales Tax Holiday. As in previous years, the law exempts most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced under $100 from sales and use taxes, which could save shoppers about $8 on every $100 they spend.

Erica Nigrelli, a Houston area resident and her unborn daughter Elayna were saved by her co-workers and the brilliant doctors who were able to deliver the baby in about 20 seconds via emergency C-section!

Attendance doubled this year at Towne Lake’s second annual Memorial Day Lantern Launch. Residents and community members dedicated 1,000 paper lanterns in memory of loved ones who have passed away.
