FORE Cy-Fair, the Chamber’s Annual Golf Tournament will be held at Sterling Country Club at Houston National on Monday, October 21, with a 1:30pm shotgun start.
The tournament provides a dynamic networking opportunity for those who do business – or want to do business – in this vibrant and growing community. Area businesses can sign on for a variety of sponsorship and marketing opportunities, which offer exposure to tournament participants, as well as, the more than 2,000+ Chamber members through e-mail and web marketing campaigns. The tournament kicks off with registration and lunch at 11:30am and the putting contest will begin at 12:00 noon. Golf gets underway at 1:30pm with a scramble shotgun start. The awards dinner and raffle starts at 6 p.m.
This is the third year Texas Emergency Care Center of Cypress has been the underwriter for the tournament. Community Impact Newspaper will be one of four True Texan Sponsors and will be hosting one of the choice craft beers from the Silver Eagle line-up; Karbach, St. Arnold or maybe Rahr & Sons Brewing Company. The Hole in One sponsor is Northwest Dodge and Methodist Willowbrook Hospital has signed up for the Cypress Sponsorship. Other sponsors include: BBVA, BB&T, Caldwell Companies, HCN Cypress Creek Mirror, Houston Chronicle, Jogler Inc. and Lone Star College-CyFair.
This year a limited number of four, True Texan Sponsorships will be available. The $5,000 sponsorship will allow businesses the opportunity to host one of Silver Eagle Distributor’s Craft Beer Tents. The sponsor will receive 2 team entries, a tournament trophy and logo recognition in all promotional material. The sponsor’s logo will also be one of only four on commemorative beer cup.
In addition to the sponsorships, the public is invited to purchase $10 raffle tickets for some great prizes. Raffle tickets will be available at the chamber office and at member businesses throughout the Cy-Fair area. You need not be present to win.
Rhonda Sandel, CEO of Texas Emergency Care Center of Cypress and Mark McShaffry, owner of The Backyard Grill and Smokehouse will serve as co-chairs for the 2013 tournament.

A portion of the proceeds from the tournament, dinner and auction benefit the Adam Skinner Memorial Scholarship of the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation. The chamber has donated $79,000 to the endowment.
