Last week, Memorial Hermann announced plans to expand into the Cypress area. This announcement comes on the heels of last month’s groundbreaking for the Sugar Land campus expansion project.
The new Memorial Hermann campus in Cypress will be located near the 290 – Grand Parkway interchange.
Memorial Hermann President and CEO Dan Wolterman said the new hospital will provide the "substantial inpatient and outpatient capabilities needed by the rapidly growing Cypress area communities."
For Cypress area residents, the new Memorial Hermann figures to be a welcomed alternative to driving to the Medical Center for treatment.
Memorial Hermann isn’t alone in the recent healthcare boom in Houston. Houston Methodist also recently announced upgrades to its Texas Medical Center campus, as well as a brand new campus in The Woodlands.
No date has yet been announced for the new hospital’s completion.
