Motivating yourself to get ahead on spring cleaning is hard. Embrace the challenge this week with two events that give back to the community.
You can start by safely sorting and disposing stacks of unwanted records, documents, statements, checks and other papers. This Friday, March 6th from 1PM–4PM, you can enjoy the satisfying crunch of watching those documents go through the shredder thanks to Data Shredding Services. The service is free, and a portion of all shredded data proceeds will go to the Wounded Warrior Project.
On Saturday, March 7th from 12PM–6PM, bring your unwanted new and gently-used formal dresses, shoes and accessories (think clutches and cubic zirconia jewelry) to Prom Dress Drive at Willowbrook Mall. The Giving Gown Foundation will be collecting these items to give to high school girls who otherwise would be unable to go to their prom or spring formal. So if you find yourself staring at your spring cleaning list this weekend, use these two events as incentive to knock it out early and give back to the community.
