Annual event raises money for local charities

The Heritage at Towne Lake's Fourth Annual Car Show featured 134 new and classic cars this year, including this 1955 Chevy.
This year’s event raised $5,000 for local charities. A selection committee will meet in March to nominate and ultimately select three organizations to receive the funds. During the show, canned goods were accepted for donation to Cypress Assistance Ministries.
“This event would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our wonderful volunteers and residents,” said Susan Caldwell, marketing director of Caldwell Companies, developer of Towne Lake. “We have watched The Heritage’s Car Show grow every year, and are thrilled by the turnout and the charitable donations raised.”
The Heritage at Towne Lake’s Car Show has grown drastically over the last four years – this year’s event was made possible by the coordination of 100 volunteers. Volunteers helped make lunches for visitors, park cars, organize raffle baskets and manage event logistics.
