LoneStar College

Tuesday’s election brought favorable results for Lone Star College System. Voters approved a $485 million bond referendum which will allow the schools to renovate and construct new facilities and strengthen their current infrastructure.

The project breakdown of the overall college system includes building, renovating and expanding over 1 million square feet of facilities, adding 3,000 new parking spots, updating technology systems and improving campus access.

Join Lone Star College-CyFair for the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) workshop featuring Houston Chronicle nature columnist Gary Clark and including a nature campus birding tour Feb. 14.

The LSC-CyFair event will coordinate with the national Great Backyard Bird Count celebration, an annual four-day event that engages bird watchers of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of where the birds are, which helps scientists get the “big picture” about what is happening to bird populations.
